The High Council, or Special Council, was the ruling council of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. The High Council was unique in its class, containing a singled-out balance of six Jedi and six Galactic Alliance leaders.

The High Council was established by Chief of State Cal Omas during his reforms prior to the cosmos of the Galactic Alliance,^[1] perhaps named or based after the earlier New Democracy High Council.^[2] Jedi Master Luke Skywalker was an instrumental forcefulness in the institution of the Council. While the Galactic Alliance Advisory Council was the primary executive body of the Galactic Brotherhood, the High Quango was considered better suited for the prosecution of the war, and many of import officials frequently cursory the quango, including Ayddar Nylykerka. Nylykerka became and then important during the war, that he was granted temporary status on the Council. Nylykerka'south position on the Council was removed with the end of the state of war.

Following the end of the war against the Yuuzhan Vong, Sien Sovv and Dif Scaur both resigned, primarily over the autumn of Coruscant and the Alpha Cherry scandal, respectively. Ayddar Nylykerka was not a role of the get-go meeting of the High Quango, but was added before the end of the war.
